MID TERM;
- As I have mentioned in class, the midterm will cover all five chapters we discussed in class. What you need to do to prepare for the midterm is to read the five chapers thoroughly at home. ALD students, same goes for you. Read the first five chapters of your notes and bring them to class!
- The midterm will also include the Artsakh and Armenia map handouts we worked on in class. Due to popular demand I have attached the file of the maps to this notice.

Study for the first test;
As I told you in class, our test is going to be open book and open notes. However, this does not mean that you do not need to prepare for the test. Here are some pointers;
- Read the first lesson, pages 1-9 carefully
- Take notes while reading; each subhead discusses one topic, so make sure you have notes explaining each.
- Feel free to highlight, underline, circle etc... on your book. The text is going to be your guide
- Make sure you take a look at the vocabulary words and the questions at the end of the lessons as well.
- Don't forget to revise the notes we took during class. As I told you from the first day, I will hold you accountable, through these tests, to whatever topics we discuss in class and whatever we write down in the notebook.
- Even though the book and notes are going to be available for you during the test, you will not have time to read the text fully in class. Thus, I urge all of you to read the lesson thoroughly.
- Give critical answers, do not simply copy the answer from the text.
- Have a pencil ready, i.e. sharpened!
- Have an eraser
- Manage your time, you have the full class time to finish the test (50 minutes), extra time will not be given.
- Speaking to one another is not allowed.
- You may ask questions but only with permission
- You may not move from your seat without permission
- Write clearly and using full sentences.
Attention! ALD students; all of the above pointers apply to you as well. Just have the handouts I gave you with you during the test.
